European Coaches Registry – ECU Privacy Policy

The European Cheer Union (ECU) is a non-for-profit sport organization registered in Denmark. This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from persons that register as coaches on our webpage www.cheerunion.eu.

What data do we collect?

The ECU collects the following data:

  1. A) Personal identification information:
  • Name
  • Surname
  • Gender
  • e-Mail address
  • Country of residence
  • City of residence
  • Child protection documents / information
  1. B) Other relevant data:
  • Language qualifications
  • Disciplines, levels and age groups (e.g. Cheerleading / Performance cheer)
  • Coaching experience
  • Coaching education
  • Coaching achievements
  • Endorsements

 

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide most of the data ECU collects. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Voluntary submit the data with an on-line registration form (Google form service) for the Coaches Register.
  • Voluntarily submit the data via e-mail or any other ways of communication.

The ECU may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • International Cheer Union (ICU) – https://cheerunion.org/
  • National Cheer Federations (NF) that are ECU members – https://www.cheerunion.eu/organization/members/
  • Persons and organisations that are submitted under endorsement 

 

How will we use your data?

The ECU collects your data so that we can:

  • Establish the European Coaches Register that is publicly available on the ECU web site https://www.cheerunion.eu/coaches-register/.
  • Email you information about coaching opportunities in European countries and worldwide.
  • Email you information relevant to coaching cheerleading and performance cheer.
  • Share your data with the ICU and NF that are ECU members.

The ECU reserves the right to delete your data or to make it unavailable to public or our partners (ICU and NF that are ECU members) at any given time without prior notice and without reasons given.

 

How do we store your data?

The ECU securely stores your data on our Google Drive location, Dropbox cloud service and on the ECU webpage server. Stored data at the given locations is accessible  only to the ECU Executive Board members.  

The ECU will keep your data for one year. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data unless you agree that we keep it for additional year. Your agreement to keep your data for additional year can be given each year for unlimited time.

 

What are your data protection rights?

ECU would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request ECU for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that ECU corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request ECU to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that ECU erases your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that ECU restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to ECU’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that ECU transfers the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The ECU website and registration form for the European Coaches Register contains links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

The ECU keeps its privacy policy under regular review and places any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on 28th of January 2023.
