Hi!

My name is Katja and I am still a competitive dancer at Ladies dance team from Ljubljana, Slovenia. I have been part of the senior team since 2012, before that I went through the pee wee and junior dance teams.  As a Ladies dance team athlete I have learned the most because learning and developing never stops - as an athlete and as a coach.

As an athlete I'm honored to be part of such an amazing team as the Ladies dance team. I get the opportunity to compete in all three categories - pom, jazz and hip hop. In the past season I was more focused on pom, jazz and pom doubles. I won many medals through the years but most importantly I create so many memories that will stay forever. I also get the opportunity to be part of the 2019, 2022 and 2023 National team. I got silver at the 2019 ICU World Championship in pom doubles and I was part of the team which also won 2nd place at 2022 ICU World Championship in senior pom category which was the first medal ever for Slovenia in that category. In 2023 I was announced as the ECU Athlete of the year in the Performance Cheer Senior category.

In the 2017/18 season I became a Junior Ladies coach. This is the season when our junior team for the first time ever won a national championship, qualified at Europeans and even got a bronze medal! Since then we have been working hard and we became vice european champions in junior pom in 2022. I love coaching young kids, helping them improve and have an impact also outside the studio.

Through the years I taught workshops in Belarus and Norway.
